Love the great outdoors but don’t like leaving your best mate behind? Gear up for some four-legged fun with some of our favourite dog parks in Brisbane!

Every good doggo deserves an outdoor adventure to stretch their legs, discover some new scents, and meet some furry friends.

Pack a picnic and make a day of it this weekend at these dog-friendly beaches and parks in Brisbane.

Tuckeroo Park – Nudgee Beach

Nudgee Beach is Brisbane’s own waterside oasis, complete with wetlands and briny beaches. While dogs are prohibited at Nudgee Beach proper, they can enjoy a splash at the dedicated dog swimming area at the beach’s tidal section. Just be aware this isn’t your typical postcard-perfect Queensland beach. There’s no shortage of mud and mangroves – but your fur baby won’t mind.

Once they’ve cooled down with a dip, they can head to the adjacent fenced off-leash area of Tuckeroo Park to stretch their legs on a range of agility equipment and obstacles. It offers waste bags, bins, and drinking water.

This adventure park for dogs also caters to us lesser two-legged animals, with a sheltered picnic table, benches, and toilets.

Furry friends of all sizes can take a dip in the Brisbane River and feel the sand beneath their paws before showing off their skills on the extensive obstacle course. And if you enjoy walking your dog, you can make the most of the well-kept walking paths and boardwalk.

With nearby picnic shelters, barbecues, toilets, and a children’s playground, Colmslie Recreation Reserve is the perfect spot for a day out with the whole family.

Riverside Dog Park – West End

Location, location, location.

Quiet and leafy, Riverside Dog Park is known as one of the best in the city, offering stunning views of the river – and just a 10-minute drive from the CBD.

This peaceful spot is fenced and provides plenty of shade and breeze while your dog gets some exercise. Amenities are basic with water bubblers, a couple of benches, and waste bags, but it’s worth it for the coveted location.
